Livemint - a popular financial newspaper recently did an article on - do banks usually suggest their sister bank's mutual funds and insurance products?
Undoubtedly the data says yes. A huge share of bank-owned AMC commissions goes to sister banks.

Conclusion - This is a strong data point suggesting that the motivation for a bank to suggest/ sell you mutual funds/ insurance products is meet their respective sales targets and not which is the best product for you.
Versus how our company NiveshMitr.com operates - working with ALL MUTUAL FUND COMPANIES WITH SIMILAR INCENTIVE STRUCTURE, and hence, our focus is more on customizing the investment portfolio to each client's needs and based on merit of the financial product. Hence, leaving no scope for any kind of bias.
